Beard grooming at Ema's

Most beards don't need to be shorter; they need to be shaped. A defined cheek line, a neckline in the right place and a mustache trimmed off the lip make the same beard look twice as sharp.

Your barber will trim for length and shape, clean up the lines and, if you're getting a haircut too, blend the sideburns so the beard and the cut work as one. Growing it out? Say so — the trim will focus on shape while keeping length.

What to expect

Keep the length, take it down, or reshape it — and how you want the cheek line and neckline to look.

    Trim and even out

Bulk taken down with clippers or shears so the beard sits evenly on both sides.

  4. 04

    Blend and finish

Sideburns blended into your haircut or fade, and a final check from every angle.

Questions

Beard grooming: common questions

Can I get a beard trim with my haircut?

Yes, and it's the best way to get the two blended. Just ask for a beard trim when you check in.

How often should I get my beard trimmed?

Every two to four weeks keeps most beards in shape. Short, sharply lined beards may need it more often; a long beard being grown out can go longer.

Do you do shaves or hot towels?

Services can change, so please call (623) 925-9714 to ask what shave options are available right now.

I'm growing my beard out. Should I still get it trimmed?

Usually, yes — light shaping of the neckline and cheeks keeps it looking intentional while the length comes in. Tell your barber you're growing it so they leave the length alone.

Do I need an appointment?

No — walk-ins are welcome Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 3 pm. If you'd rather plan ahead, call (623) 925-9714 or send the shop a message on Instagram to ask about an appointment.
